The Salon Managers Academy is a Salon Business Development consultancy providing Salon Business training, tools and resources for Hairdressing and Beauty Salon Owners and Management.

Salon Business management is difficult even in good times, with salon owners and managers struggling to keep up with the day-by-day needs of staff & clients, often whilst working a chair or room themselves. We are here to support you.

My name is Mick Say and I have worked in sales and marketing for over 30 with 20+ years experience in the Hair and Beauty Industry. I incorporated Full Column Ltd and the Salon Managers Academy to support salon business owners with business admin and business development training and support in 2005.

Salon Business Support

During 15 years as a sales manager and sales director working with major industry manufacturers I visited thousands of salons and worked with many hundreds of salon owners.

I was lucky enough to learn salon business development skills from some of the best salon business owners, managers and salon staff in the world. Whilst many of them are “names” in the industry, most are quiet, successful salon business owners who know how to make a salon operate in profit. These are the Salon Business owners who helped me to build the most comprehensive set of salon human resources and salon business development tools available in the industry today.

Testimonial from a Solicitor acting for a Salon Owner

The testimonial below is from a solicitor acting for a salon business owner in an unfair dismissal case. This kind of legal action is very costly and is completely avoidable. Salons today must act within the law and managers must be fully conversant with legislative human resources management.

“Hi Mick: I am meeting my clients this afternoon and will give them your contact details. I believe that your package is just what they need to put their employment issues to bed.”

Thank you – Ivan

Salon Business Owner Testimonial

Hi Mick: The Salon Managers Academy, salon managers and stylist business training have been of great help to my staff and my business.

The appraisal forms have given my staff more focus on how to set their targets and where we both can see where they are in their job. The comment’s i got back from the staff about their appraisals are, there the best they have ever had.

It as made the staff more focused and they know exactly what they need to do too achieve the results they want. Fantastic a must have for any salon.
Kind Regards
